Fatality response

No human eye wants to see the horrific aftermath of a tragic death. And yet, Jewish law requires us to bury the deceased with all their limbs and lifeblood.

Collecting body parts strewn across highway lanes, blood streaked across apartment walls, and cleaning the aftermath of the deadliest attacks, is a gruesome task performed by hidden heroes among us.

These selfless individuals rise above their nature and face the horror head-on, for the sole purpose of giving Jewish victims a proper Jewish burial.

They’re at the scene following terrible accidents, disasters and heartbreaking suicides.

As difficult as it is to imagine, these dedicated Chesed Shel Emes of Connecticut volunteers do what needs to be done quietly and resolutely, spending numerous hours providing Kavod Hameis.

Rising above nature, so another Jew is properly laid to rest.
